We're hopefully going to pick him up tonight. The vet wanted to monitor him for a few days, but he's doing well so fingers-crossed we get him back today!
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. We still don't really know what the problem is, but the vet doesn't seem too concerned thank goodness.
I'll update again tonight.

We are still purring hard for Rumbles. We hope he comes home tonight. Nowhere will he feel better than with Rumblemum, Rumbledad and Diego to cuddle with him. Sending him lots of SMOOCHIES.

Yikes, I hope he is OK. One of my dogs, Winston ate a some lego toys once and it was big surgery. If they didn't find the string, then what was it? Very scary. I hope he is better very soon.

This is great news! Presumably the vet did an x-ray right away before doing something drastic like exploratory surgery. So it sounds like Rumbles is fine--we're doing a happy dance! We'll look for an update later.

We've been so worried so are very thrilled to hear this news! We're sending him lots of purrs to keep getting better!
This might be completely random but when we first got Hansel, Tesla stopped eating completely and they also thought she had a blockage from a toy- did xrays- NOTHING. BUT they did a barium series and found out she had been licking so much hair off from stress from the new cat- that she had a blockage of hair in her colon- which was making her vomit and not eat and nasty poops. The barium cleaned her out, and then, she was good to go after that. For a while until she got an upper respiratory from hans. WHAT a mess.
I was terrified for her! Hoping its something as simple as giant hairballs rolling around in his tum. We are praying and purring for you all.
Me is still purraying Rumbles is A OK! Poor Rumbles!

We are so relieved to year the good news. We're still purraying for him tho until he's all better. purr purr purr purr purr
Thanks for the good Rumbles update! We know that he is going to be needing a lot of rest but it is good he is doing better and coming home. After going through something similar with Kirzon we remember how it seemed like he was sick for so much longer than he should have been because his digestive tract was irritated by eating stuff he shouldn't (his was a hair scrunchy) and hopefully that is all that is up with Rumbles too. We are still sending him tons of get well purrs and prayers!
the fact that the vet doesn't seem too concerned is a BEAUTIFUL thing! Savor that!
