The truth about 'little' Hamlet

Now, a number of you have commented on the fact that 'little' Hamlet has gotten SO much bigger.

The other day he sat on the scale. He is 4.8kgs.

 That's 10.58lbs.

Now it's important to remember that Hamlet is only 7 months old.

I think the lesson to be learned here is I should be nicer to him while I'm still the 'big' brother.

Must alway keep an eye on him while he's small...

Hamlet is growing up to be a very handsome Mancat, Rumbles. Your Mom and Dad chose well when he was such a small kitten. Now the two of you must pose nicely for a picture together!

Squishy Lishy was only 3.2kg at his last weigh in. Little Hamlet could eat him for breakfast!

"Little" Hamlet Diego is already way bigger than me and my momma and Bennette and Cecilia, but Ginger says she can still take him. Whatever that means.

Hamlet is growing into a handsome MANCAT!!!! A lot of the lady cats are going to be swooning over him. But as handsome as Diego is, the girls at our house will only swoon for you, Rumbles!

Marg said...

Uh Oh Rumbles. You had better get that almost little fella trained now before he gets any bigger. He is getting handsome but Rumbles you will always be our man. Hope all of you have a great week.

Random Felines said...

We agree - you need to get him into submission now before he realizes he is getting bigger!!!

I think the cats talking about the firmer paw are right--set the standards NOW!

Rumbles, never forget you are the boss. It does not matter that your tiny brother weighs more than you.

Miles weighs a LOT more than me but I am the boss and will be forever!

Our Odin was that weight at seven months as well. He's now a year and weighs 15 lbs! Some boys are just big-boned and muscular.

He'll need a namechange soon, maybe? From Hamlet to HamLOT!

For sure, hamlet is going to be a big kitty - he is already!!! Just make sure he respects you, Rumbles, and don't let the size thing get to you.

Lita and the boys in Melbourne said...

Wow, Rumbles so little Hamlet is going to keep growing till he's at least 2 if not 3 so he'll probably weigh the same as you if not a little more maybe...
And why are you still gowing, Rumbles, how old are you? Don't Maine-Coon's finish growing around 3? You're older than 3, aren't you? At our house, Sammy weighs 8.5 kilos (ahem!) and he's a tabby not a maine-coon and he'll be 4 soon. He is a big cat though and not just around the middle :) Mum keeps threatening to "help" him get rid of a couple of kilos though...Zorro weighs around 4.5 kilos and he'll be 2 but I think he's finished growing and our new brother Bello weighs 5.5 kilos and he's almost 9 so ideally he's been done for ages. But Maine-Coons, Ragdolls, Norw Forest Cats & Himalayans are the biggest domestic ones, yes? I'm not including the designer cats like the savannah.
