Tail of a naughty cat (and it's not who you'd expect) - the Rumblemum

A particular Maine Coon managed to dip his tail in some olive oil this morning! It was cold oil, sitting in a pan on the kitchen bench...

I think he took to heart all the times I've said "You're so squeaky, I think you need Maine Coon oil!"

He now has a very flat tail and the floors are like a skating rink!

Some random Maine Coon came in and made an oily mess? Hey, Rumblepurr - you didn't see who it was, did you? No, you were probably too busy being sweet, handsome and cuddly at the time. :)

Yikes Rumbles - if you have to get into something choose TUNA instead. It's tasty and not so slippery.

Guess there won't be any hairballs for a while. LOL.

If you have hardwood floors, think of it as extra shine. :-P

Came back to say how cool it is that your team won the World Cup Rugby. We couldn't watch 'cause it was at 4 am, but as soon as Mom got up she check the web to see the outcome. See, she comes from a rugby-loving country too, though now has to settle for mostly baseball and "padded" football.

You're lucky Rumbles. In our house, that story would have ended with a cat in the tub getting a bath.

PetMOZ said...

Ohhh wow.... Yummers. No more fluffy tail for a while....

Do stop by our Halloween spooktacular this week. Monday is the first post.

oh dear Rumbles! That reminds me of when I accidentally gotted baby oil on my paw and den it was all lober my entire body. Keep licking purrrrr

Shawnee the Shepherd said...

OMD! And the licking it off, umm, it did not make you has to run to the litter box or nuttin, did it?

Sam, Zorro & Bello said...

Extra virgin, cold pressed, we hope? No fur balls for a while then? Don't wander too far from the litter box now, will you Rumbles? So you can see who runs to use it. (nudge-nudge, wink-wink;)

don't think that is what Rachael Ray has in mind when she says to "add a little EVOO" lol

Oh, this reminds me of when we first got our kitties. I don't think it had been a week and ToPu got up on the STOVE and fell into a pot of cold (thank goodness) oil that had been used for frying. Covered his whole little body.
...But he's quite floofy and luxurious now, so who knows, maybe oil is the secret to a gorgeous coat?
