Doin' the bump! - Rumbles

I think I taught the Rumblemum some lessons about when is a good time to photograph me and when isn't... of course this is all for my buddy Brew's contest, and no cameras were harmed in the making of these paw bumps...

Rumblemum tells us bedtime stories - Rumbles and Inigo

We've been hearing wondrous stories about a magical place far, far away called Canada.

Canada sounds like quite a sensible place, with something called 'insulated houses' and 'central heating' and 'bathtubs' (ok that last one is maybe just our apartment and not the whole of New Zealand ~ Rumblemum) It's so cold here that we can see our breath in the air... IN THE LIVING-ROOM.


Now we also know so many BOOTIFUL girl cats from Canada... and our hero Dante lives there! We think it is meant to be!

...Hey they have salmon there too don't they? And squirrels to chase...?

It was way too hard to pick a winner based on the submissions, so we've taken everyones name that entered, and used a program called 'The Hat' to randomly pick a winner.

It's hard work being a good kitty. It's nice that every now and again I get rewarded.

Check it out - I got the electric blankie turned on JUST for ME! And then Rumblemum warmed up my blankie and put it over me! (I rewarded her with big purrs!)

As mentioned yesterday, we have a prize that is better than sectional sofas covered in catnip! The lovely people at CSN Store have donated a cool prize for all the humans out there. The prize is a $60 gift certificate for use on any of their sites (sorry, is only for my friends in US and Canada)

Good kitties of the world, unite! - Inigo

Hello my fellow good kitties! I wonder if we've missed anyone for a good kitty club badge? If you'd like to be in MY club, please let me know and I'll politely ask Rumblemum to make you a badge.

It's started getting really cold here, I don't like the cold at all. Well, except for the cuddles. When it gets colder, it's good to have someone to snuggle with (like my baby seal, Thwack)

We're going to be holding a contest soon, this one for all the humans out there! 

Putting out the welcome mat for Rumblepurr - guest blog from Cleo

Remember my BOOTIFUL puppy pal Cleo, from  'Cleo's day' blog? She's sent over this guest post about my trip to San Francisco!

I can’t believe my mancat friend Rumblepurr is really coming to visit me in San Francisco! All the way from the other side of the world. I need to remember to tell him to bring layers. We get all kinds of weather during the summer. One day hot and one cold and I want him to be comfortable. If he gets cold, he can buy one of those "I escaped from Alcatraz" sweatshirts and then give it to Inigo when he gets home.

It is so exciting! I can't wait to show him around and have him meet some of [my] friends. My mind is all over the place thinking about where to take him. I wonder what he will like?

We could go to the Presidio and chase birds. They fly low and though I never have, I bet he could catch one. We could go to Golden Gate Park and try to catch fish in the pond. Since we will make such a handsome pair, we will get lots of love and treats from tourists, I just know it!



Before he gets here though I have so much to do. First I am going to make my female wash my bedding and gulp, even my toys. First impressions are important and I don’t want him to think that I am messy or stinky. PL said he would trim my nails nicely the day before Rumblepurr arrives. My recent bath might last but since grooming is important for handsome mancats, my female is going to start brushing me every afternoon a week before he gets here. I want my lion fur nice and poofy.



I plan on helping with the grocery list too. PL and I are already negotiating how many sardines and tuna to buy. He is on vacation so I think Rumblepurr should have nice snacks. Coming such a long way from New Zealand, he might get hungry late at night too.



Grrr time to get busy, then my female and I will work on the perfect itinerary!

Betrayal - Rumblepurr

The Rumblemum has FINALLY come back. The first thing I did was run over to her, only to smell... HANDSOME MAN-CAT!!!

Now normally it is MY handsome man-cat aroma, but this was different...

Hmm, could Misha be in here?!?

And for some unexplained reason, she had a temptation in her bag?!?

"Inigo - anything to report?" 

"This side smells like bootiful girl cat!"

Betrayed. She says she was thinking of me the whole time she snorgled Misha, but how can I trust her?

A letter to Misha - Rumbles

Dear Mister Misha,

The Rumblemum is going to be in your city, and may or may not come home with you in her bag. I want to let you know that if she does, there are gonna be a few rules around here.

Rule one:
There will be NO playing on MY tower. Not even a little bit. You can watch me having fun, and maybe sometimes Inigo, but you are not allowed.

Mine mine MINE!!

Rule two:
No using our submarine tunnel. It makes really cool crunchy sounds, and has pockets on the side that make cool sounds when you nom them. Forbidden for Misha.

We bet that the Island Cats need one of these!!

Rule three:
No cuddling the Rumblemum!! She is OUR mummy. We hardly get enough cuddles from her as it is, you are not permitted to snuggle, cuddle, huggle or wubble with her at any time.

Rule four:
Under no circumstance may you nom MY Greenies. They are my most favorite, and should only be enjoyed by ME.

And speaking of Inigo, he wants to thank you all for the birthday wishes, and let you know that he got FRESH tuna and FRESH scallops, Rumbledad bought them special, and he even shared them with me!
