Thank you all so much

The vet has let us take Inigo home early. He was looking so much better when we went in to visit, and he perked up when he saw us. The vet thought it would be more healing for him to be at home where he felt safe and would eat (he hadn't eaten at the vet)

We've just gotten home, I'm not letting Inigo out of my sight. Rumbles is afraid of him because he smells like vet. I suppose that's a good thing, it'll keep him from trying to chase Inigo or play with him. And he didn't try to steal Inigo's food (he ate a lot! *happy dance*)

We've got to take him back in on Monday for a checkup, and we have all kinds of med's he'll need to take. We've also got a specialist appointment with the heart doctor.

I know he's heard all your purrs and well wishes, and I bet you could hear his purrs, he's been purring so loud!! Thank you all.

Humans! Can you believe my Human is getting all leaky just thinking about Inigo home from the v-e-t and back with his loving people again? Gee, I thought it was HAPPY DANCE kind of news, not leaky news! But then the Human 'splained that sometimes the happy news causes the leaking too. I will never understand the Humans.

I am just purring and purring and purring with happiness for Inigo, thinking how happy he must be to be feeling good again and to be home. Oh, and food, too. Lotsa food.

OMG I'm very sorry to hear that Inigo is not well, I am currently out of town so I have not been able to visit much. It must have been very scary for you to see him in distress like that. I hope the medication will help and of course being home is the best medicine of all .

This is fab news for a Frootbat Friday! Inigo will settle back in and start eating today, we are sure purrin for him! Mewmie remembers with her first heart cat how scared and anxious she was, watching him like a hawk and listening all the time with her stethescope every time she thought he was breathing different...but he was just purring most of the time, not breathing heavy after all! Then she relaxed bit by bit, but also knew every extra day with him was a treasure. He was diagnosed at 4 years old, too (HCM is most commonly diagnosed between 3-5 years of age and boys are more commonly affected than girls) and he lived til he was 15, as did his brother and his sister til she was 19. They all had HCM!

We await news of Inigo's diagnosis but here are some good links to info on hearts and HCM, so when you go into the cardiologists, at least you will have read over the info and it will sound familiar to you. Our mewmie always says the best cat owner is an educated one...
