Tail of a naughty cat (and it's not who you'd expect) - the Rumblemum
A particular Maine Coon managed to dip his tail in some olive oil this morning! It was cold oil, sitting in a pan on the kitchen bench...
I think he took to heart all the times I've said "You're so squeaky, I think you need Maine Coon oil!"
He now has a very flat tail and the floors are like a skating rink!

Some random Maine Coon came in and made an oily mess? Hey, Rumblepurr - you didn't see who it was, did you? No, you were probably too busy being sweet, handsome and cuddly at the time. :)

Came back to say how cool it is that your team won the World Cup Rugby. We couldn't watch 'cause it was at 4 am, but as soon as Mom got up she check the web to see the outcome. See, she comes from a rugby-loving country too, though now has to settle for mostly baseball and "padded" football.
must have been some other maine coon....or the trouble maker in disguise - yeah, that's it. :)

Oh, this reminds me of when we first got our kitties. I don't think it had been a week and ToPu got up on the STOVE and fell into a pot of cold (thank goodness) oil that had been used for frying. Covered his whole little body.
...But he's quite floofy and luxurious now, so who knows, maybe oil is the secret to a gorgeous coat?
