Thank you to everyone that's donating for the Christchurch earthquake animals

It's a very, very sad day here, horrible stories coming out of Christchurch - I'll leave it to you guys to decide how much you want to hear about the earthquake - here's a link to our main news site here. 75 confirmed dead, and so many more are missing.

I want to thank everyone that's contributed to the SPCA in Christchurch thru the Chip-in system. I've let the SPCA know that we're collecting donations for them, but I imagine they're so busy, and that's if they even still have a facility left after the quake.

I've set the widget to run till 4 March, thank you again for your generosity. I've heard so many people here wanting to help and not knowing how - I've seen poems and and talked to so many - we feel very powerless to know how to help.

HUGS to you and your family. This has to be heart beaking for you. I anm going to read the link in your post (tomorrow when I'm fresh and can really concentrate on it). I'm so happy you posted a chip-in. This is one way pals can help. I'll do everything I can to refer pals to your blog too so they can read the news post link you have provided. Our thoughts & prayers go out to all your countrymen who have lost loved ones, have loved ones who are missing, have loved ones who are injured, and for the anipals without homes. It has to be very devasting to see dat happen in your country. HUGS to you and your family. Remember you have lots of pals here to love you and are hearing and feeling your pain.

It's really good you set the widget up - we hope it raises loads more money. Watching it here it is horrible - what it must be like to see your own country in distress, we cannot imagine. In the meantime we are all very grateful to be warm and safe with our family. And we are very glad to have heard you guys are safe too. We hope the aftershocks are not so damaging.

Since we live in Los Angeles, we really understand the terror these humans are going through. My human has been out of town for a couple of days, but now that she is back, she will see what we can donate.

Just to let you all know that the Canty SPCA facility is fine but very busy as you can imagine. Certainly donations will be gratefully accepted as with the last quake they had a number of animals requiring urgent vet care as a result of injuries and they also housed a number of homeless (through loss of house) and ownerless animals that required care for an extended period. Thanks LilycatQueen
