The two faces of the Ham

Hello friends.

I feel I must tell you something about that Hamlet.

In our apartment, there is ONE place I was able to go to in order to avoid the big Ham. There's a very high spot above the bed on Rumblemum's side.

The other night, while I was enjoying some Ham-free time, we discovered he could jump up and STEAL MY SPOT.

'Unacceptable!' I can hear you saying... 'how does he get away with it!'

It's because he has two faces. There is this one that I think illustrates the concentrated naughtiness:

WAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
And this face that he shows the Rumblefolks:

Who...me?
If anyone out there knows of a spot that a Rumblepurr can be a Rumblepurr without kitten interference, please let me know *gRumble*

Pixel says, "Rumbles, come over here! It's a kitten-free zone! (Well, except for me. And you, if you're here.)

Oh, dear, that second picture reveals all. I am afraid I don't have any good suggestions for you, Rumbles, unless you can squeeze behind the couch or under the bed.

The mass manipulator kitteh he is. I am almost impressed, but you can do better Rumbles! Get in there and give him a big swat and then when your Mum turns around clean his head ever so sweetly :<)

I got a safe place for you...*points at cooking pot*....he he

Oh Rumbles, you need to have your own private spot. We would invite you over here but there are way too many cats here for you to get any privacy. We are sending all kinds of purrs to you to find a Ham free place. Take care.

Poor Rumbles! That's the problem with brothers...they always wanna hang out with you. I'm still looking for an Ernie-free zone.

Hmmm - How bout hiding in one of the bathroom cupboards (if you have any), if not crawl into one of the cupboards in the kitchen, den close the door just enough so Hamlet can't see you in there. I see he has that "innocent look" down pat too. Poor Rumbles!

I am certain you will discover another ham-free zone!!!

We think you've illustrated the duality of kitten nature purrrfectly. Sadly, since he's now the size of a Volvo, we don't think there is a kitten-free zone anymore!

We hope you'll find another Ham-Free Zone! We've got to admit, he's purrfected the "look"!

Sorry Rumbles, but on seeing that last photo we can't believe that Hamlet would ever get up to any mischief. At all. We think he sits neatly like a good boy wearing a very handsome face.

HEE HEE HEE...what a silly face! We think moms lap is a great spot!

We like the lap idea - maybe she can protect you. We would offer you sanctuary, but we gots foster kittens here....

We think your rumbleparents should help you get your spot back by distracting the ham-kitten LOL!

Ha! That first pic is hilarious. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

We're fresh out of ideas for a Ham-free zone. Though he can't be two places at one time--do you have two large climbing kitty condos? :-)

We would be delighted to have you as a guest Rumbles.

Oh Rumbles...you are doomed. Hamlet has mastered "the look". The only solution is for you to move in here!

We would tell you to come here, Rumbles, but we have the same problem with the little guy Lightning -seems he is finding all our secret spots too.

Funny how they can turn on the innocence look, isn't it?

Try the shower or the bath after the hoomans have finished with it. If he's a normal kitten, he'll stay away from that area of the house completely!

Furry Bottoms said...

Aw, trick Hamlet into being interested in something AWAY from that spot and then pounce on that spot and refuse to move as long as it drives the ham crazy. That's what I'd do!

What a little sneak! My poor Rumbles, you just come to my house. There's lots of places here to hide from Candy & EK. We can even go on top of the kitchen cabinets.

I hide under Momma's desk and then he cannot get there because I swat him when he tries,

Rumbles, babe, that Ham is one slick character. One thing you have on him is the wisdom of age. You'll find another kitten-free zone before you know it!
