My new bed

Rumbledad got a Lego R2D2 for Christmas... I think that if Hammy was a robot, he'd be an R2D2. They just seem pretty similar. That doesn't mean I'd be C3P0 tho. I'm much too good looking.

The upside of him getting this? I get a new bed!!

And my new bed is multi-purpose! I also use it as a ramp - I run up it and launch myself onto any toys that are lying near by. It's awesome when a gift does so much.

Blurf

Blurf is the noise we make when we're SO FULL of yummy stuff we don't want to move! Me and the Ham both had lots and lots of turkey and ham... we're so tuckered out we both went to sleep on the cat tower at the same time! A Catmas miracle!

I woke up when I heard that it was time for me to open my gifts! I say MY gifts, because that Ham didn't even open his eyes to look at them!

Our friend Miss Candy sent us this lovely nip-filled fishie! As you can see, I liked it (in a polite and demure way, as is my fashion)

We are very thankful - a note from the Rumblemum

Hi all,

There is no Thanksgiving in New Zealand (and I miss it very much, I loooooove turkey!) This year though, we have our own Thanksgiving.

You may remember Rumbles being very ill about 6 months ago, and they found his heart was enlarged. Yesterday he had to go to the heart specialist for them to check his progress and see what happens next.

We are so thankful that his heart hasn’t gotten any worse, and his liver function is good as well (it wasn't last time). We are so thankful that he's happy, and zooming around and just generally being a wonderful boy.

Hammy was thankful when he came home - poor Ham was home alone all day, and I think he realised how much he loves his big bro.

And I'm thankful for all of you who were so kind when Rumbles was sick. I hope you're all having a Thanksgiving, no matter where you are in the world. :)

 and my favourite chair (ok... and Hammy)

Behold the BooBoo face!

Rumbledad has been COMPLAINING that we haven't been blogging enough. I try to tell him that we are weak and need more tuna to fortify us enough that we can write our blog daily. He just shakes his head. *sigh*

I think I've mentioned before that I have a nick-name... well I actually have a few, but my main one lately is BooBoo.

We have been coveting all the photos of you guys who have those infinity scratchers, so when Rumblemum saw one on sale she knew she had to get it for us.

Rumbledad scoffed and said we would never use it. Boy did I prove him wrong!

Sometimes me and the Ham work together

Rumblemummy tries to be very sneaky when she makes the bed, because me and the Ham LOVE to help.

We've learned that if we stand on the sheets she's trying to take off, she will bribe us with Greenies and Orijen Tundra treats to get us off. If we nom them REALLY quick we can zoom back to stand on the new sheets she tries to put on the bed (and then we get MORE treats!)

Today she thought she would do the sheets while we had our dinner. Nice try Rumblemum, but I cottoned on to what she was doing and zoomed in to help. Hammy noticed my zooming, and he was right behind me!

So we both got to have appetizers before dinner! heh heh heh

Unfairness in the House of Ham

It's so unfair. I want to play with my toys, but I can never find them! Do you know why?

It's because RUMBLES likes to take EVERY toy from the fun, sunny living-room and transport them into the back bedroom!

Well hello toys. I've been looking for you.

I don't understand it. It is not a short trip either! He has to drag them alllllll the way down the long hallway...

And then it's like he just makes a pile out of them! He doesn't even PLAY with them, he just likes to surround himself with toys.

Hammy the diva

Rumblemum has been trying to get a photo of "her big handsome Ham" in honour of this being his calendar day on the CB calendar.

He says he won't look at the camera for anything less than two packs of ham.

As his agent, I claim 100% of any ham revenue gathered from his image, so I'm trying to encourage him that he needs to have a photo taken. He's still refusing (I think he may be smarter than I suspect...)

The sad part of blogging

We lost a beautiful friend today, one of our very first friends from the blogosphere.

Sparkle the Designer Cat was more than a beautiful ladycat, she was kindness and an encouraging voice for us. Her stories about life with Binga and Boodie made us feel like they lived next door. Funny and educational and never dull... Sparkle was the total package. 

Our heart goes out to her family. She will never be forgotten.

Hello everyone, it's HAMMY!! I know Rumbles posted some photos of the new tower a couple of days ago, but he neglected to post any photos of ME!

Welcome to Hammy Towers! 

We both love the tower, but it's a bit of a competition as to who goes where. Lately I've been enjoying being on the very, very top!

I'm pretty sure Rumbles doesn't mind me being the tallest kitty in the whole world. I think he quite likes it actually.

Hmmm... you know, if we broke through the ceiling, we could add another
level on to Hammy towers...
